Noor Research was founded in 1995 by Fereydoun Taslimi and Nahid Loudermilk with the primary purpose to support movements that promote acceptance of our differences and tolerance of dissent among Muslims. Noor encourages philanthropy, volunteering, not-for-profit technological initiative and citizen action. These activities help us better serve our people and communities.
What do we stand for?
We reject all forms of coercion, oppression and discrimination practiced in many Muslim countries in the name of Islam. We consider the right to choose and change one’s path to salvation as sacred, personal, and inalienable. We promote the ideals of an open society and support the right of the population to be informed using the latest technological means.
